It's a good thing that was not it!

So, NYC was great!
One really cool thing that we did was stop in at the Living Room. www.livingroomsi.com
We got to Worship and listen to a message! It was awesome to see what God is doing in NYC!
The message was about starting a fire for God in your heart. God had Joseph store up grain in Egypt for a famine, and we need to store up love in our hearts because a famine is coming. In the last days (I don't know when they will come and I'm not predicting anything) many will fall away and their hearts will grow cold. It was a good reminder that we need Love and that God is the only one who can offer true love, and we must store it up in our hearts!

Alright, on to the post for the day.

He lives, He lives! Jesus lives! He is Alive!!!!

My last post was about Jesus death on the cross. It has been there for 1 day short of a week. Wouldn't be kind of scary if that was were it all ended? All of Jesus' teachings during His 3 year ministry and then.....nothing. He just died. It would be very difficult for me to believe a lot of what He taught. But, as the title of this post says, It's a good thing that was not it!
Luke 24:36-53
'While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you." They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see, a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you see I have." When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet. And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, "Do you have anything here to eat?" They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he took it and ate it in their presence. He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Laws of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms." Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high." When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven. Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.'
There are many other places in the Bible where Jesus appeared to people, once even a group of 5,000, after He had died on the cross and was buried.
This is the power of the Good News, the Gospel! Buy becoming disciples of Jesus and giving our lives to Him, we will share not only in His sufferings, but in His resurrection.
Just as Jesus was raised from the dead, if we believe with our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord, we too shall be raised to everlasting life with Him.
Thank you Jesus, Thank you!!!
David
