Kingdom of Heaven

So I saw this movie last night.
It was a good movie about the Crusades, but....

It completely shows how most of the world views Christians!
There were a lot of half truths spoken throughout the film, the biggest one that bothered me for the rest of the night, was that there was only one time that a distinction was made between "Religion" and "Faith". But "Faith" was attributed to what is in your head and heart, instead of Faith in Christ, it was Faith in being a good person.

The whole film focused on two types of Christians, the war mongering? men who only used Christianity for power and land, and then the ones who tried to live the best lives that they could.

This is not what Christianity is about at all!
Paul writes in Ephesians 2:8-10
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

It is all about Christ, nothing more, nothing less!

We are saved by God's Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ, His Death and resurrection! Christ is the sole source of Salvation, it has nothing to do with works or being a good person. But we were created in Jesus to do good works for God's Glory.

Other than getting the whole "Christianity thing" wrong, it was a well done movie!
Also if you take it in the context of the Crusades, where it was all about reclaiming the Holy Land, it was a good movie.
It just upsets me when Good works gets pawned off as a way to Heaven.
