9. Let love/goodwill be genuine/unhypocritical. Abhor/hate what is evil/toilsome/bad; hold/glue/unite/cling fast to what is good.
10. Love/brotherly love one another with brotherly affection/tenderly loveing/family affection. Outdo ane another in showing honor/value.
11. Do not be slothful/timid/lazy/hesitent in zeal/haste/diligence, be fervent/boil/hot in spirit, serve/be a slave to the Lord/Master/Owner.
12. Rejoice/be glad in hope/expectation/anticipation, be patient/persevering/enduring in tribulation, be constant/devoted/to attend constanly/ steadfast in prayer.
13. Contribute/to have a share of the needs/business of the saints/sacred/holy and seek to show/practice hospitality/love of strangers.
My Comments:
Romans 12:9-13
9. We must love the Brethern genuinely...without a mask! Not as actors but as Christ loves us!
Hate what is evil...and avoid it at all costs!
But cling to what is good with all our strength!
10. The people of God are a family and we should love and treat each other as such. Always trying to honor others more and more.
11. A Christians we should be "fervent" in serving Christ and not hesitate.
12. We should continually remember the Hope that we have in Christ...our Eternal life and His Glory...and Rejoice in these things!
Persever through the tough times.
Constant in Prayer! Isn't this an area that we could all work on? This is our direct line to God.
Challange: Read a Psalm a day for the rest of your life and see what happens to your prayer life!
13. Share in the business of the Saints! We are brothers and sisters and should care about what each other are doing....as well as serving God!
Show hospitality! Love strangers! This is especially for Christians who are visiting! But also for complete strangers, and strangers of the Lord!
